Short Form Ceremonial & Divan Meeting 4/17

Tonight, we went out to a gentleman's home to make him a Shriner. While this is slightly unusual, it was indeed an exciting night for all of our Divan members because not only did we make a new Noble for Antioch Shrine but we also met a gentleman who is fairly immobile and understands that he can't be as active at Antioch as most but really wanted to be a Shriner. My pledge for all new members is to help them feel as proud to be a Shriner as our newest Noble at Antioch Shrine Joe Zinn.

Afterwards, we headed up the road to discuss the business of Antioch and what we as a Divan team could do to make the overall experience for the Nobles at Antioch to be more memorable. Several of our discussions surrounded what we can do to make our Temple more attractive to potential persons who might want to rent out our facility. We also talked about what we could do to help out the various Clubs and Units with encouraging their membership to participate. While much of our meetings is really boring necessary administrative items to ensure the temple continues to function in a fiscally safe and sound manner, the rest is always devoted to improvement. While we have heard outstanding comments and responses from the events this year, we continue to use the small items pointed out which could have been done better to make us achieve an even higher level of success.

Remember my goal at the beginning of the year...Imperial will notice what Antioch is doing, our members will participate in what Antioch is doing and our potential members will want to experience what we are doing. Rest is not an option when it comes to making sure Antioch is #1.
