Dayton Gems Hockey Game

Today was the Dayton Gems Hockey Game and it was a great day for Antioch right from the beginning with a large contingency from Antioch in attendance (over 100). Before the game, Kevin Sweeney and Dave Heizer manned a booth with information on becoming a Shriner and Antioch Shrine. The Brass Band also played up to the beginning of the game when the Legion of Honor posted the colors.

We then watched the Gems have their way with the visiting team scoring goal after goal. During the first intermission the Funsters went to the ice and provided entertainment with a game of clown hockey.






During the second period the Gems continued their goal scoring exhibition and we even got to see the real highlight of the game .... a fight!



During the second intermission the Funsters again participated with the chuck a puck. When all was said and done the Gems had won the game 9-1.
