Stated Meeting

Tonight was the Stated meeting and we had several updates including one which indicated if we continue to push hard for new members, we should be able to break even or be plus one for the year. The Potentate mentioned one last incentive for being Gold Status (+1) for the year is at the OG Roast in January if we make the goal, his daughter and the rest of the Divan will give the Potentate a Buzz haircut and shave the mustache. John Bull quickly clarified this was for the 2012 Potentate ... not the 2013 Potentate.... unless of course you elect Scott Lipps for 2013 in which case it applies to both Potentates! Steve Putnam received the Best Band Award on behalf of the Brass Band from the Carlise Parade. We also appointed Jim Thorpe as the new 1st Ceremonial Master (Jim had also recently taken the role as Donor Relations for the Hospitals).
