Today we were at the Speedy Campgrounds collecting for the Shrine Hospitals. Despite some last minute changes this week by the raceway, a muddy mess and the skies starting to look like they might open up and dump allot of rain on us; several hearty souls were willing to brave the elements and collect for the Hospitals. Dave Heizer showed us how to bury a gator in the mud, the Funsters showed us playing in the mud is fun and Linda Heizer showed us how to do donuts in the mud. (oh and Dave Heizer also almost showed us how to make a huge white monkey turn brown). A big thank you to all who helped out today especially for Kevin Sweeney who orchestrated a great food spread and let us use his camper as a mud room. It always amazes me how nothing can keep Shriners down when it comes to supporting the kids and our Hospitals.
