This evening I went to the funeral for Jim Newman. While I knew Jim better through the Scottish Rite, he was also a 46 year member of Antioch and a 62 year Mason. It got me to thinking. He joined 12 years before I was born and was still an active Mason. I learned a lot about ritual performance from Jim as he was the ritual director for the 14th degree for over 20 years. I'm sure we have several at Antioch right now who have been Masons that long and are still active. My question is will you take advantage of their knowledge and experience, as we should, before it is too late?
